Hogfish H20 Wick LS Tee

Since Hogfish are a very popular target of Spear fisherman and are so elusive to rod and reel anglers it was only natural for us to add this colorful Peter Agardy design to our Dive Collection. Our Hogfish design depicts this species at a time when its coloration is at its peak. The Hogfish’s color is variable, dependent upon age, sex, and habitat with males more intensely colored than females. Interestingly it is from this very long “pig-like” snout and it’s rooting behavior that the hogfish gets its name. Its strong jaws contain protruding anterior canine teeth that are well adapted for crushing hard-shelled prey items such as mollusks and crabs. This fish is commonly found over open bottoms and coral reefs at depths ranging from 10-100 feet.
